Information you can use.
We are going to do a rally for rv education of new owners, Were gonna try to make it as reasonable as we can. We will secure a location and campsites . We put entertainment together and get a instructor for Rv tech session. We will secure a source to bring food. ya no one wants to cook for that many people after class. Perhaps we should have some Merchandise and maybe a drawing for stuff! Since the first one to ask were Concord Coachman owners, We shall be putting this together first for them and any one interested in a future rally is welcomed to contact us . e hope to find a vlogger who will attend and publish on youtube.
Stay tuned for future announcements.
Our 1976 GMC renovation
As I start to read across facebook and see many new owners in a community I enjoyed . We only owned ours about 6 yrs .We had the the best times and we did spend a lot to make it ours. We Live in Florida where the retirement community is the way of life for many . We have been to most of the state though the travel we have done is not where you know with the Coach painting is so bright its was a lot of times parked in public. When we went to a concert it was always invited to be next to the hundreds and although we went to a few , we always kept to ourselves . Many times it went to Key West and I enjoyed driving down Duval street and about the area. Owning a GMC and rebuilding comes with complete understanding of the community as a whole and who is who. Only approx 12,900 were ever made, makes you a bit of a collector since you know they will require replacement pieces and parts , your garage may look like a gmc warehouse distr center. Mine did. I was lucky enough to have met one of the few who truly know every inch .I watched him work on one GMC after another but not for the money. Alex helped me to rebuild my coach to a dependable coach to drive anywhere and be proud of and that brings to the next thing. I had been to Van Rallies in Calif in the 70s when it was a fad and owned several custom vans. After the first visit to the mechanic Jeff Sirum and his stories about the fun and then after a while we were finally able to drive ours to the rally. It was in Tampa I met Alex who helped me turn our coach into a rolling vacation no matter where it went it had a lot of view inside and out.Even Car shows in Indiana and many other states. Here are a few photos of the coach both before and after.
As we bought it
There are way to many good photos to post all the great times in this great machine , Do want to say thank you to ALEX and Lori Ferrera for taking us under your wing and Alex for all the hard work he did on our coach and know that he is a guardian angel of GMCs, I really enjoyed coming to the man cave every day for your instruction and all the help you gave me . you truly made the RV personal and dependable to US and our Family.
It was Alex who suggested we join the international club where we had the best time doing things as a group and sharing meals and stories of our travels.
